LONDON QUOTATIONS. LONDON, Jan. 23. Frozen meat quotations are as iollow: Sheep.—Argentine, heavy, 5d per lb. Lambs.—Australian firsts, Victorian 8 11-16 d; others, BJd: seconds, Victorian, Bid; thirds, 7£d. Frozen beef.—New Zealand fores, 4d; Australian crops, 4d. Chilled beef..—Argentine fores, 3|d; Uruguayan fores, 3sd. Other meats are unchanged.—A. and N.Z. cable.

Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house under date January 22:—Lamb: New Zealand prime crossbred lamb, Canterbury heavy, 8d; light, lid; North Island heavy, 7ld; light, lid. Moderate demand for New Zealand lamb. Market firm. Stored lamb, off colour, Id to crossbred mutton, Canterbury heavy 7d, light 72c1; North Island heavy 6£d, light 7Jd. Fair demand for New Zealand mutton. Market steady. Beef: New Zealand prime ox beef, hinds 4Jd, fores 4Jd. Limited demand for Now Zealand beef; market nominal. Pork: Fair demand. Spot lOd to lid. Australian frozen meat: Quotations, g.a.q. crossbred lamb, heavy' sd, light sd. Demand for Australian lamb poor; mutton fair. Levin and Co., Ltd., have received tho following cablegram from London, dated January 22: Tho market is depressed, the demand being very poor, with a weakening tendency all round. General prospects are unfavourable. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received tho following cablegram from their London liouso under date January 22: New Zealand frozen meat: Lamb and mutton quotations unchanged. Market quiet. Last quotations (January 15) : Lamb, lOd per lb (average) ; mutton, wether and maiden ewe, light 7d per lb; heavy, 6jid per lb. ; ewe, light 5d per lb. ; heavy, 4Jd per lb.

The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board has received the following cable from its London office dated 22nd January, 1926, advising Smithfield delivered prices at that date as follow.
