SEAMEN’S UNION.
SHORTAGE IN FUNDS. CATERING FOR THE STRIKERS. Received January 22, 10.55 a.m. . SYDNEY, Jan. 22. At a special meeting of the Seamen’s Unioii it was stated that the audit of tho funds of tho Melbourne branch disclosed a shortage of nearly £2OOO, principally in consequence of the branch having guaranteed the cost of catering for the striking British seamen.—Press Association.
