FARMER BURNED OUT.
EARLY MORNING BLAZE
Per Press Association
HAMILTON, Jan. 21. A five-roomed house, owned and occupied by Mr E. Egan, farmer, at Whatawliata, was destroyed by fire early this morning. Mrs Egan lit a fire, after which she left tho house to muster the cows to be milked, and the occupants arose a short while later. Proceeding to the kitchen they were horrified to find it ablaze. It is surmised that a spark flying out of the grate caused the outbreak. Tho only furniture saved was a dressing table. The house and furniture were insured.
