ITALY’S OBLIGATIONS.
FUNDING NEGOTIATIONS. LONDON, Jan. 21. Tho Daily Telegraph’s diplomatic correspondent says the week-end may witness a comploto agreement in connection with the funding of Italy’s war debt. It already has been agreed that the indebtedness shall bo discharged by standard or uniform annuities within 62 years, and tho reduction of tho accrued interest has been conceded.—A. and N.Z. cable. “FRANCE WILL PAY.” AS PROMPTLY AS POSSIBLE. WASHINGTON, Jan. 20. M. Henri Berenger, the new French Ambassador, who presented his credentials to President Coolidgo on Wednesday, told him that “France was resolved to pay the debts contracted for her defence as promptly and fully as present and future possibilities will allow.”—Reuter.
