BAN ON FREEMASONS.
DANISH DECREE.. LONDON, Jan. 12. English Freemasons are directing attention to tho Danish Labour Cabinet’s decision, forbidding officers of tho army and navy to join certain societies, including tho Freemasons. This may affect King Christian, who, presumably, is a Freemason, and is also Lord High Admiral. They surmise that the ban may be the result of the British’ Labour extremists’ attempt in 1923 to ban English Freemasonry, because tho Masonic bond was likely to enable the settlement or limitation of strikes.
The Evening News points out, that many leading trade unionists belong to Freemasonry, which is thoroughly non-political, loyal and constitutional, in which respects it resembles Danish Freemasonry, but differs from the subvorsivo Continental organisations passing as Masonic crafts, similar to those which Signor Mussolini banned.
