IMPERIAL CONFERENCE.
SPEEDING UP CONFIRMED
DOMINION PREMIERS COMMUNICATED WITH,
Received January 11, 10.25 a.m. LONDON, Jan. 10.
Tho speeding up of tho Imperial Conference is confirmed hv the Daily Telegraph’s diplomatic correspondent, who says that inquiries are now proceeding with tho object of ascertaining from the Prime Ministers of the Dominions tho date upon which it will be convenient to meet in London .
■ “Sufficient time,” states tlio correspondent, “has not elapsed since the communications were sent to enable the Premiers to reply, but the probability is that the conference will bo held before the autumn. October might he regarded as a suitable month in view of the fact that three Premiers will have gone through general elections and may not desire to be absent during tho first session of the new Parliaments.”-—A. and N.Z. cable.
