FRENCH CRISIS.
CRITICAL SITUATION. M. BRIAND WILL NOT RESIGN. PARIS, Dec. 29. Tho Ministerial crisis continues to bo most critical. M. Doumer, the Minister of Finance, lias failed to come to an agreement with M. Painleve and five other irreconcilables of the Radical group. M. Briand, however, states that lie will not resign if six refuse to accept M. Doumer’s plans, but will endeavour to replace thorn. He adds that the present is not the moment to abdicate. —A. and N.Z. cable. AGREEMENT REACHED. Received December 30. 10.5 a.m. PARIS, Dec. 29. Tho Minister and tho Council have reached an agreement. M. Doumer lias been authorised to table financial proposals in tho Chamber. —Reuter.
