BEALE’S TOURING TEAM. MATCH AGAINST EEILDING. (From Our Own Correspondent.) For the past five years, at Christmas, Mr E. C. Beale, an Auckland cricket enthusiast, has taken a team of colts on tour of tho North Island, playing against minor associations. This year Mr Beale’s team has made an auspicious start, having already beaten W’aikato by an innings and Marten by 210 runs. Included in tho team is the veteran Hemus, who, however, is not available for tho third match, against Foilding to-day, owing to'an injured thumb. Tho team arrived at Feikling this morning, and commenced play shortly afterwards. Tho visitors batted first, and when stumps were drawn at tho luncheon adjournment tho score stood at 4 wickets for for 74. Following are the detailed scores:— BEALE’S TEAM—First Innings.
