WINNING OWNERS.
AT MANAWATU MEETING. MR V. RIDDIFORD’S SUCCESSES. The most successful owner at the Manawatu meeting proved to be Mr V. Riddiford who won the sum of £965 in' prize money as tho result of the double victory of Grand Knight in the Fitzherbert and Liverpool Handicaps, a first with Note in the Nursery and a third with Minotus in the Highden Handicap. Second on the list is Mr 1.. A. McKenzie, the local owner, who won £7OO as the result of the success of his horse Clarihda in the Manawatu Cup. Mr J. Bull occupies third position with £590 which was forthcoming from Ngata’s third in the Cup and first in the President’s Handicap, while £2OO below him is Mr G. M. Currie, whose horse Motley had the honour of winning tho Palmerston North Stakes. A second with Anklet in the Maiden Plate on the first day helped to swell the total by £4O.
