FEILDING NEWS
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Tho members of the Feilding Polo Club are practising hard for tho forthcoming tournament. An exhibition gamo will be played during the Feilding Show. A special practice match is to bo hold at Parorangi on Wednesday aftornbon. Tho team to moot tho Auckland colts will not bo finally selected until to-morrow, but the following players have boon notified that thoy will be roquired :—Daniels, Salmond, Hill, 11. G. Haro E. M. Hare, Drennan and McLean. Tho Auckland team is engaged at Marion to-day and to-morrow against Rangitikei and will play in Feilding on Wednesday and Thursday.
A progressive pairs competition was hold on Christmas Day, tho winners being J. Dowo (lead) and J. Bartholomew (skip). A similar competition hold on Boxing Day resulted in a win for W. MoAUister (load) and Williamson (skip). Perfect woathor prevailed in Feilding for tho holidays which fortunatoly wero not marred by any accident or other untoward happening. No local gathering of any kind took place, but tho fino days lured many Feilding peoplo to the beaches and other places of amusement.
