DEATH IN LONDON.

TUBERCULAR SOLDIER. SOUGHT SPAHLINGER CURE. Albert P. Jorgensen, a member of tho Sailors and Soldiers’ T.B. Association, of Sydney, who had been chosen as a test patient for demonstration of the worth of the Spahlinger treatment, is dead. This nows was given in a cable which was received by tho association last week. It mentioned that death had occurred in St. Stephen’s Hospital, London, Jorgensen having contracted a severe chill on the journey across the channel. Before ho left for Switzerland, Jorgensen was examined by six Macquarie street specialists so that, had He returned to Sydney, they would have been able to note whether he had progressed under the Spahlinger treatment. Various doctors advised him to stay in Sydney, declaring that he would not survive the boat journey. Letters recently received by the association from Jorgensen mentioned that ho had interviewed Spahlinger, who, however, was unable to guarantee continuous treatment, owing to the financial handicaps in the way of his producing sufficient serum.
