BOXING.
CONTEST AT AVESTPORT. Per Press Association. AVESTPORT, Dec. 27. The professional boxing contest, welter-weight, 15 rounds, between Loveridge (Now Plymouth) and McKnight (Hamilton) went the full distance last night and was one of tho best bouts ever staged here. Both lads fought vigorously from the opening to the closing of the contest, which Loveridge won on points.
