man embezzles money. BRISBANE, Oct. 28. * A man walked into the Townsville police station at the beginning of the week and.said lie had embezzled .money at Armidale. Would the police kindly arrest him, as he wanted to make a clean breast of it. He had been very worried, but now that it was all over he would be able to sleep. A detective showed him a paragraph in the N.S.W. Police Gazette, stating that a warrant had been issued for his arrest for stealing £43, the total defalcations amounting to ~odo. The man said, “I’m the chap referred to, but I think the defalcations are only £300.” He was therefore arrested, -and as Henry William Rafferty was charged with stealing £43. He was reinanded-
