£IOOO NECKLACE STOLEN.
TORN FROM WOMAN’S NECK. A diamond pendant necklace, valued at £IOOO, was snatched from the neck of a woman in London recently. As she was leaving a theatre she was jostled in the crowd, and felt the necklace torn from her neck. A short man about 30 years of age, wearing a dark soft hat and grey suit, rushed away from her. The necklaso consisted of a diamond pendant upon platinum, set with a single-stone diamond weighing 20 carats. ■ There was also a small diamond and onyx at the top of a platinum nock chain.
