A BAD COUGH.
HOW IT WAS CAUSED. BROKEN PIPE STEM. ADELAIDE, Oct. 26. When A. W. Dixon, of Forestville, an elderly man earning his living as a sand carter, was knocked down by a motor seven weeks ago lie got a slight shaking and gravel rash. i A pipe he was smoking at the timewas broken. Later Dixon developed a bad cough. He bought cough and cold remedies and persevered for six weeks. Then he thought he would have to relinquish his job. But as he was climbing into the dray a few days ago lie was soized with an extra violent paroxysm of coughing, and brought lip a piece of pipe stem an inch and a-hulf long. The coughing ceased. His chest and throat were sore for a couple of days, but then improved, and now lie ; s veil again.
