The Canterbury Jockey Club’s meeting was continued to-day in splendid weather and with .a large attendance. The course is in good order. Results: AIIDDLETON HURDLES, of 300 sovs., once round and a distance. Gamecock, 9.11 ’ 1 Boneoto, 9.3 ... 2 Sir Fanciful, 11.9 ... ... 3 , Scratched: Aferry Singer. AVon by three lengths. Time, 2.54 4-5. CRITERION HANDICAP, of 800 sovs., seven furlongs. ■ Rercmoana, 9.3 1 Grand Knight, 7.13 2 Peneus, 8.8 3 All started. AVon by half a length. Time, 1.24 3-5. At a meeting of the stewards the penalty imposed on Saturday on F. C. Porter was reduced to to-day only.
