ELECTION ISSUES.
FINAL FIGURES NOT YET COMPLETE. The official recount of the votes cast in Palmerston North on the electoral issue is now practically completed, but to these the absentee votes have to ho added, as they arc received, before the final figures can be made known. According to the returning officer, Mr G H Lang, notification of 663 absentee' votes has been received and probably a recount of these will be commenced this afternoon. The licensing issue recount will also probably commence this afternoon.
