Tho Wellington Centre has guaranteed £2OO towards the cost of the tour and has asked tiie Manuwatu SubCentro to find £SO of that amount. The guarantees are to be a first charge against the total profits from the tour, irrespective of whether a loss is made in any one district or not. Tho balance of profit, after paying the guarantors, is to bo apportioned as follows: Twenty-five per cent to the New Zealand Council and tho remainder to be divided pro rata between centres which have shown a profit on their meetings. Scliolz, in addition to being the Olympic Games 200 metres champion, is tho present holder of the American 220 yards title. He holds the world’s record for the former distance—2o 0-10 secs—and with C- W. Paddock that lor the furlong—2o 4-5 secs. Hahn is a quarter and lialf-miler of high repute. Undoubtedly their visit will do much for amateur athletics in the Dominion. This will bo the third American team to visit these shores.
