The properties io be acquired comprise about 22S acres of freehold and leasehold hind situate at Cape Foulwind, Westport, connected by railway with the v.harses at Westport, and containing enormous deposits of highgrade and marl, which are particularly described in the reports. The immense importance of the cement industry in New Zealand is now generally recognised. The industry must and will continue to expand and the increasing ditlieulty of securing skilled labour is tending to create an almost unlimited demand for cement. ] The latest system of Wet Process will be adopted and the Promoters are i assured that cement will be produced of unequalled quality. West port at about £2 per ton. Taking into consideration the average selling prices in the various markets ! of the Dominion, which is taken at the main centres at £5/8/- per ton, and : basing the calculations on an output of 50,000 tons yearly, the promoters feel ! assured that the enterprise will show a profit of 27/4 ;pcV* ton (less Hoad • Office expenses. Taxation, Writing-off, Depreciation, etc.), leaving an estimated net profit equal to 15 per cent, on a capital of £230,000. NOTE: Since the Prospectus has been issued it has been decided to increase the initial capacity of the first unit to about 52,000 tons per annum. THE UNANIMOUS OPINION OF FOUR EXPERTS. Since the original Prospectus was printed the Company have had two further Expert Reports as regards their options at Cape Foulwind, so they have now the reports of FOUR experts: 1. An English Mechanical and Cement Engineer; 2. An Australian Wet Process Cement. Chemist; 3. Director Now Zealand Geological Survey; 4. A New Zealand Cement and Mining Engineer. The proposed cement undertaking at Westport is therefore viewed from four different angles, and the verdict is unanimous in its enthusiasm for the project. Such thorough investigation with such eminently favourable reports prove that this proposition is an INVESTMENT and one of the SOUNDEST—and NOT a speculation.
