SOCIAL TO EXHIBITORS AND OFFICIALS. A PLEASANT FUNCTION. The Manawatu Kennel Club tendered a social last evening to visiting exhibitors, judges and other officials. Mr R.. L. C. Aitchison was in the chair, and there was an attendance of about GO. A lengthy toast list was honoured and a number of musical items were given. During the evening discussion took place on the question of getting into touch with the English specialist clubs to procure standards and coloured plates of the various breeds so that judges in the Dominion could he absolutely bound down to one particular type and also to enable fanciers to breed to that particular typo and standard. Mr J. W. Robson, as a delegate to tho New Zealand Kennel Club, pointed out that that body had this matter under consideration.
