ITALIAN PLOT
AIMED AT MUSSOLINI. POLICE MAKE ARRESTS. (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received November 6, 11.15 a.m. . ROME, Nov. 5. It is semi-officially stated that tho ex-Socialist deputy, Signor Zaniboni, lias been arrested on a charge of preparing an attempt on the life of Signor Mussolini. A semi-official statement declares that tho police during the last few days received confirmation of guarded reports previously reaching them of an attempt being prepared against Signor Mussolini’s life during yesterday’s celebration of Italy’s victory in tho Great War. The police planned a number of arrests and forced their way into a room near tho Foreign Office. They surprised and arrested Signor Zaniboni just as ho had got everything in readiness to carry out his criminal attempt. The retired General Louis Capello was arrested in Turin on the point of departure abroad. Orders wero given the prefects to immediately seize all Alasonie lodges of the Grand Orient, whose headquarters are in tho Giustiniana Palaco at Rome.
The Government lias ordered tho dissolution of the Unitary Socialist Party. —Reuter.
