FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
LOYAL MANAWATU LODGE. There was a gootl attendance at the fortnightly meeting last evening of Loyal Manawatu Lodge, X.G. Bro. L. S. Catterick presiding. One new member was initiated and was accorded an address of welcome by P.P.G.M, Bro. T. Bruce. Nominations of officers for the ensuing half-year closed, and the election will take place nbxt lodge night. It was decided to mee at 7.30 o’clock on summons night. The installation of officers was fixed for December 3rd. A degree lecture will be held on Tuesday evening next. The Christmas tree committee met and decided to hold the annual function on December 19 from 3 to S p.m.
