SEASON’S OUTPUT TO DATE
A DECREASE IN BUTTER
IMPROVEMENT IN CHEESE
Butter production in the Auckland province this season shows a decrease compared with last season’s record figures. The output of cheese, however, shows a substantial increase.
Butter received for grading this season to the end of October totalled 318,596 boxes, compared with 372,248 boxes received during the corresponding period of last season, a decrease of 53,652 boxes. During October the butter receipts at the grading stores totalled 85,520 boxes against 95,465 for October, 1924, a decrease of 9945 boxes.
Cheese received for grading to the end of October this season totalled 26,619 crates, compared with 21,818 for the similar period of last season, an increase of 4810 crates. Cheese received at the grading stores daring October totalled 8058 crates, against 6931 for October, 1924, an increase of 1127 crates.— ...
