ECUADOR AND COLOMBIA. TROUBLE OVER BOUNDARY. Received November 5, 8.40 a.m. .' WASHINGTON, Nov. 4. Ecuador has btoken off .relations with Colombia because the latter ratified a boundary treaty between Colombia and Peru.

The people of Ecuador protested against the secret character of the treaty, believing it involved the ceding of the Amazon valley lands to Peru, which Colombia claimed from the earliest times, and which claims were recognised as recently as 1905. —A. and N.Z. cable.
