The United States had enf/rreed antitrust laws 'to. prevent producers combining to mulct consumers of American products, but now it could easily countenance the creation of combinations, which would do with the prices of cotton, copper and oil wliat had been dono by English, Brazilian, Eranco-German and other producers with raw materials imported into America. —A. and N.Z. cable.
