FARMERS AT LAW.

DISPUTED CLAIMS. A case was heard at the Magistrate’s Court this morning wherein Walter Woods, farmer, of Johnsonville, claimed from James Hodgson, farmer, of Whakarongo, the sum of £l3 for stock supplied. Defendant confessed the sum of £9 los and counter-claimed for £7 for killing and dressing four pigs belonging to plaintiff and for other miscellaneous work. Mr Abraham appeared for plaintiff and Mr Ongley for defendant. After hearing evidence, His Worship gave judgment for plaintiff on the claim for £5 and for defendant on the counter-claim for £2 10s, each party to pay his own costs.
