DISTRICT NURSE DAY.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —Thursday, the stli of November, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. has been set apart for the special canvass to raise funds to carry on the district nurse work in l’almcrston North. Much good has been done by the nurse for the sick and needy in this town, and her work is very much appreciated by the pationts. We havo to rely upon the assistance of citizens to keep going, and we respectfully ask all those interested in this humanitarian work to subscribe liberally when the collectors call upon them.—l am, etc., J.
