AMENDMENT REJECTED. Received Julv 15, 10.15 a.m. MELBOURNE, July 15. In the House of Representatives Mr Charlton’s amendment to the Immigration Bill was negatived by 32 votes to 24, and the second reading was carried by a similar party vote.—Press Association.
