REQUISITES IN SCHOOLS.
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 15. The Board of Education, by seven votes to five, supported a remit from the Primary Schools’ Association that the Government lie asked to provide books, stationery arid other requisites used in schools, and also legislation to restrict the powers of returning officers in commandeering schools for polling booths. At the 1923 election 329 teachers were rendered idle and 9476 children lost'a day’s schooling in the Auckland district.
