CAUSE OF CANCER FOUND
RESULT OF FOUR YEARS’ WORK. LONDON, July 12. The Daily Express announces that the National Institute ot' Medical Research at Mount Vernon, Hampstead, after four years’ work won the international race for the benefit of humanity by the discovery of the organism which causes cancer, which is responsible for one out of every seven deaths of persons over 50 years of age. The Daily Express adds: “False expectations should not bo created. It is the cause, not the cure of cancer which lias been discovered, but the discovery gives a definite hope of grappling with the disease.
