RUGBY FOOTBALL.
INTER-SCHOOL MATCH. WIN FOR TE AUTE TEAM. (Per Press Association.) WANGANUI, June 29. Tho inter-school Rugby match to-day v Te Aute College v. Wanugarmi Technical College, was played in steady rain, bnt over one thousand spectators were present. To Ante, who were very much the heavier side, led by six points to three in the first spell, and finally won by twelve to eight (four tries to a converted try and a penalty goal). Despite the unfavourable conditions, the game was a splendid exhibition, with thrilling movements on both sides. The Aloasear Cup was not involved, but it is understood tho local Technical College is to meet Te Aute shortly at Napier in tho next challenge match for that trophy.
