Macaulay taking four nickels for 40 runs, and Roy Kiincr four for 63; and in the second innings the side made 153 (G. Brown 51). Macaulay took aix. for 73. Yorkshire in the first innings made 408 (\\. Rhodes 91, Macaulay 63. S. Allen not out 95). Yorkshire non by an innings and 116 runs. Cambridge University, playing at Bath against Somerset, declared in tlie first innings when they had lost eight wickets for 437 (G. \Y. Dan son 67. \Y. AY. Lowe 83, Duleep Singh 130, It. J. Enthoven not out 62), and in the second innings the eleven again declared when four wickets had fallen for 184 (Dawson 83). Somerset in the first innings made 203 (P. R. Johnson not out 70). R. J. O. Mover taking five wickets for 61 runs, and in the second innings 306, J. C. \Y. Macßryan 129, G. Hunt 51). Cambridge won by six wickets. Playing for Surrey against Warwickshire at Birmingham, J. B. Hobbs scored 215 and 11. Sandhnrn 102, while S. Fenley took seven wickets for 78 runs. For \\ arwickshire J. 11. Parsons made 127. Surrey won. At Northampton, playing against Notts for Northamptonshire, R. L. Wright made 105 and took six wickets for 65 runs. For Notts. W. Whysall made 108 and W. Walker 102, S. J. Staples taking seven wickets for 67 runs. Notts won. Playing for Lancashire against Leicestershire, at Manchester, R. Tyfdeslcy took five wickets for 19 runs in the first innings, and E. A.
