At a meeting of the board of the New 2!ealand Trotting Association today, tho Taranaki Trotting Club forwa.rdec. full particulars of the meetings of its judicial committee, as the result of which Harry Daniel, of Waverley, iiad been disqualified for three years for nominating the black gelding Sweet Prince (Sweet Patch—Princess Ena) as Takapo (Brooklyn—Nancy) for two events to be decided at the Taranaki Chib’s meeting on April 18, also for wilfully making false statements when giving evidence before the committee. The horse was also disqualified for three years. Against this decision H. H. Daniel appealed. He was permitted to be represented by counsel and Mr R. H. Quilliam, of New Plymouth, appeared on his behalf. Mr T. H. Davey, chief stipendiary steward, represented the club. The case was taken in committee. On resuming it was resolved that the case be referred back to tlio Taranaki Trotting Club with the following recommendations : —(1) That specific charges of making false statements be made against H. Daniel; and (2) that he be called upon to show cause why lie should not be dealt with under the rule.

The president said the Taranaki Trotting Clfcb was a new club as far as a totalisator meeting was concerned and it was to be complimented on tlio manner in which it had gone into the case and submitted it to the association.
