Sympathy with the president, Air F. J. Nathan, in the loss of his sister, Aliss Kate Nathan, was expressed bv members at today’s assembly of the Rotary Club. At tc-day’s meeting of the Sluggish River Board a vote of sympathy with the relative! of the late Rt. Hon. \V. F. Massey wa:. passed, the members standing in silence.

The ccatli of Mr Thomas Leydon, which occurred at his residence, Lewisville Terrace, Wellington, on Monday last, removed an old esident of that city. 110 was born in Adelaide 74 years ago, and came to New Zealand at an early, age with his parents, and was resident in Wanganui for a, few years. Visiters welcomed at to-day’s Rotary Club li ncheon were: Governing directors of the Y.AI.G.A. (Alessrs Poole, Gardiner, •Modeler, Foddy, Trott, Dick, Cunninghatne,- i listedt, Tenant), and Alessrs J. P. Lavin, J. Menzies, P. Lareomb, 11. Grinstead and J. 11. Slovens.
