OBJECTION TO COMPETITION. Received Mav 21, noon. WASHINGTON, May 20. The Shipping Board has adopted a resolution requesting the American delegates to the International Chamber of Commerce at Brussels in June to oppose any discussions looking to a change in the American laws so as to admit a foreign vessel to the United States coastwise trade, llio resolution declared that the continuance of- -the enforcement If ws was “essential to the existence of the American merchant marine and tor our national defend??” adding that discussion is not within the jurisdiction of the Brussels conference.— Router.
