ITALIAN FREEMASONRY.
ATTACKED BY MUSSOLINI. Received May 20, 8.50 a.m. LONDON, May 19. The Times’s Rome correspondent says: “Signor Mussolini is determined to" destroy Italian Freemasonry. In a speech in -the Chamber in connection with the bill for the regulation of secret societies lie declared that he was shocked to find that high State officials, teachers and others frequented the lodges and took orders t terefrom. ‘This state of affairs must cease, he said. He saw no reason to justify the existence of Freemasonry. Nowadays Freemasonry consistently attacked the Fascismo, for which reason the Fa.scismo was fully within its fights in counter-attacking its enemy.’ I —Times.
