HOCKEY. • (From Our Own Correspondent.) In t(je hockey match between Ohakea v. ftinekoa, played at Ohakea, the -linekous played well irf the first half of tbo game, E. Worsfold scoring. In the last ten minutes of the second epell Ohakea scored two goals. Maisie Sporle, Hinekot’sgoalie, played up to her usual good standard, and sent the Ohakeos up the field on i umerious occasions through good stick wor i within the circle. Mr Smith refereed. Ohakea residents extended their usual hospitality to the visitors RABBIT BOARDS. The members of the newly constituted Oroua Rabbit Board are Messrs A. Campbell, L. G. Hogg, B. McLeod, M. Rasmussen, B. N. Sandilands and D. L. Younger. CHELTENHAM RABBIT BOARD. Mr C. Johnston presided over a meeting of the Cheltenham Rabbit Board when, on the motion of the chairman, a resolution of sympathy with Mr 9 Massey and family in tneir sad loss was carried ixt rilence. The inspector’s report showed chat the past was well under control wh le the treasurer’s report showed that there might be at small reduction in the rate tor next year. Before the meeting closed Mr M. A. Conway, who with Mrs Conway is leaving for a trip to Australia, was givm three months' leave of absence and they were both wisiied a pleasant holiday. FEILDING S.P.C.A. At the monthly meeting of the 15.P.C.A. Mr H. Mclntyre reported that the inspector had been sworn in as a special Constable with power to take action in the five neighbouring counties and the borough of Feilcfiti&. The sum of £lO was acknowledged from the Foilding entertainments, the prooeeds of a picture benefit. A forward move is the arrangement now in train to form a union branch of the society. This is an excellent idea and should do more good to the society than anything yet done.
