RAETIHI TRAGEDY.
INQUEST ON THE VICTIMS. ACCIDENTALLY BURNED TO DEATH. RAETIHI, May 18. An inquest was held this afternoon by the coroner, MrSandford, surrounding the death of Mrs Jane Ann Pirie (33) and lan Walter Pirie (aged S years and 4 months), whoso remains were recovered from a building burnt early on Sunday morning on Pipiriki road. „ Evidence was given by Dr. Feltham, who performed the post-mortem, William. Pirie, Thomas Workman and Constable McCowan. A verdict was returned that the deceased Jane Ann Pirie and lan Walter Pirie met their deaths by being accidentally burned in the destruction of a house by fire on May 17, 1925, at Mangoilie, Raetihi.
