HAMILTON TOWN CLERK.
MR DAVEY REINSTATED. / Per Press Association. HAMILTON, May 16. The Borough Council has decided to reinstate Mr E. J. Davey ns town clerk. It will be remembered that Mr Davey was dismissed just before the election as the result of a circular addressed by fiim criticising the investigation committee. He had been town clerk for 20 years. t Most of the members of the committee were defeated at the recent election. Mr Davey was reinstated by nine votes to three.
