The New Zealand Rugby team to tour New South Wales has been selected and comprises the following: Full-back: Harris (Canterbury). Three-quarters: Elvey J. Blake (Hawke’s Bay), Wise (Otago), Law (Manawatu). Five-eighths: Matson (Auckland), Bell 'Southland), L. Johnson (Wellington), G. Lawson (South Canterbury). ' Halves: Wright (Auckland), Corkill (Hawke’s Bay). Wing-forward: J. Donald (Wairarapa), captain. Hookers: Lomas (Auckland), Kirkpatrick (Hawke s Bay), McCormack (Canterbury). Lock: Right >ll (Auckland). Side-row: McNab (Hawke's Bay), Knight (Auckland), Walters (Taranaki), Dickson (Otago). Back-row: Arthur (Southland), Finlayson (Northland), A. Thomas (Wellington). Ninety nominations were received, exclusive of the 1924 Ah Blacks, who were not considered. NEW SOUTH WALES ITINERARY. The following is the itinerary of the team to visit New South Wales next month : __ , June 13.—Versus New South n ales (first test). June 17.—Versus Metropolitan. June 20 and 24.—Versus New South Wales (second and third itests respectively). June 27. —Versus a Sta:> fifteen at Newcastle.

LAW GAINS A PLACE IN N.S.W. TEAM.

Of tho four nominees put forward by the Manawatu Rugby Union for inclusion in the team to tour New South Wales, only one in Law, of the Old Boys’ Club, lias obtained the honour. This player played some outstanding games last season, his best performances being against the Ail Blacks at Palmerston North and Hawke’s Bay at Napier. In the former match ho had the honour . of registering a try against the tourists, which was the outcome of a determined effort. Law participated in six representative matches last season, scoring three tries and kicking a goal from a penalty. In club- football he scored nineteen points, which were compiled by three tries, a goal from a mark, a goal from a penalty and two goals from tries. It has undoubtedly been this form which ha 3 carried him through, for to date this season he ha* not displayed his true worth. . . Of latter years, Manawatu’fl inclusions in the All Blacks have been few and far between, but the tide is now probably on the turn and the future will without doubt reveal a greater percentage of inclusions. Following is Manawatu’s roll of honour: 1893.—5. G. Cockroft, J. Mowlem, G. Shannon: New Zealand team on Australian tour. 1904. Alex (“Paddy) MeMinn: . New Zealand team versus Bedell-Si vright s British team, at Wellington. 1905. —Archie MeMinn: New Zealand team versus Australia, at Dunedin. 1920.—A. Carroll: New Zealand team in Australia. Archie MeMinn also attained represents tive honours in 1903, touring Australia, but at that time Re was resident in Cartertoi. Another district resident in J. Stilker, of Feilding, was also included in the team, he having secured representation from Otago. R. Oliphant, a former Palmerston North resident, attained the honours from Auckland.

S. G. Cockroft had the unique honour of obtaining honours both with tho New Zealand team in 1393 and later as a member of the New South Wales team which toured this country.
