U.S.A. AND AUSTRALIA.
PEARL HARBOUR SCHEME. HONOLULU, May 5. Admiral Coontz, the Commander-in-Ohief of the American fleet engaged in manoeuvres in the Pacific, has inspected Pearl Harbour, and agrees with engineers as to the necessity for dredging the entrance to a depth of 4oft to provide for the accommodation of the largest ships. The work will cost £1,000,000, and Congress will probably vote an appropriation immediately.
