ST. PAUL’S CHOIR.
ANNUAL MEETING,
The annual meeting of St. Paul’s Methodist Church choir was held last evening, the president (Rev. M. A, Rugby Pratt) occupying the chqir. There was an excellent attendance, while an apology for absence was received from Mr H, E. Pacey, a vice-president of the choir. The annual report disclosed that there had been splendid progress during the year under the leadership of Mr A. Tregurtha. Several notable works had been rendered and tho choir had given assistance at all the festivals of the Church. Several new members had been welcomed, as against which there had been losses by removal. A credit of about £l4 was revealed in the balance-sheet, while an accompanying statement showed that the choir lmd contributed about £235 towards the pipe organ, which was at last nearing completion.
The services of Misses M. Bennett and A. Stiles as organists wore eulogistieally referred to, while regret was expressed at the departure of Mr A. McLoavey, the deputy-choirmaster, to New Plymouth, and also at the impending departure of the choir secretary, Miss ,E. Levy, to Wellington. Matters of finance and tho regular attendance of chorister i at practice and service were discussed. The election lof oflicers for tho ensuing year resulted as follows President, Rev. Rugby Pratt; vice-presidents, Messrs H. E, Paony and G. H, Stiles; choirmaster’s deputv, Mr Cowley; assistant organists, Misses, Bennett ancl I3tile3; secretary. Miss Harper; assistant secretary, Miss L. Bycroit; treasurer, Mr G, H. Bycroft; librnrian Mr H. Bycroft; committee, Mrs Binohi'r Mrs Kendall, Miss Pacey, Miss Fabric Mr Woodhouse, Mr Wilson. Mr A.
