GOOD PRICES FOR HOGGETS. (From Our Own Coi respondent). Thero wis a good muster of buyers at thu i.iock itilo held at Folding yesterday. Some nieo lines of hoggets were on offer and sold v ell at an advance on late rates. Fat sheep sold qni.o up to expectations, the freezing companies being the principal buyers. Tliere wua nothing of great merit forward it the cattlo classes. Prices realised were is follow :

Sheep:— Fa.fc lambs: 10 at 28s sd, 12 at 35s td 32 .1 30s Id, 17 ah 235, 25 at 27s Bd, 3at 33s 4d, Fat owes: 3at 46s 6d, 24 at 30ii, 113 at 275. 7 at 27s 6c 60' at 26s 4d, li. at 3.25. AUCTIONEERS’ REPORTS. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report: A medium yarding of all clusses of stock came forward. Sheep, especially hoggets, were in keen demand, prices showing a considerable advance on last week’s quotations. Far sheep sold freely. Cattle sold at late rates. 'We quoto:—Fat wethers, 36s 7d to £2 6s 6d; fat ewes, 27s to 30s; fat lambs,-2:3s 5d to 35s 6d;,ewe hoggets, 18s 9d, 265, 30s Id to '3os 8d; wether hoggets, 18s, 20s “id, 23s lOd to 245; small hoggets, 14s owes in lamb to S.D., 28s 9d; store wethers, rough, 27s 3d. Fat cows, £4 8s 6d, £4 12s 6d, £6 5s to £6 7s 6d; fat heifers, light, £3 18s 6d; forward cows, £2 15s, £3 2s to £3 10s; shore cows, 15s to £2 10s; yearling heifers, 25s to 33s 6d; dairy cows, £9 7s 6d. Dalgei.y and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report having a fair entry of sheep and cattle. The following ar« quotalions: Fat lambs, 28s Id to 295; fat ewes, 31s 8d to 32s 7d; fat wethers, 41s 3d; cull ewes, 6s; empty ewes, 15s 3d; small lambs, 14s 6d ; medium lambs, 18s 9d; small 4-tootli wethers, 28s 6d; medium 4-tooth wethers, 33s 6d; forward cows, £2; vealers, £2 12s fd to £3 3s. An extra good line of weaner P.A. steers offered on account of Messrs Batchelar Bros, realised £3 9s 6d.

Abraham and Williams Ltd., report on their Taihapo sale on 13th inst. as follow: We .had a fair yarding of sheep and cattle, enquiry for which was good and the prices realised, especially for sheep, were well above those ruling at the previous sale. We quote: —Sheep: Good medium m.s. lambs 21: 2d, small 2-th wethers 30s 9d, m.s. 2-tlis 32s 4d, empty ewes to 27s 4d, ewes r.w. Romney rams 2 8s 3d to 31s 6d, failing-mouth ewce r.w. b.f. rums 18s 6d to 20s. Cattle: Empty heifers £2 19s 6d, empty cows 30s to 335, cow's r.w. Hereford bull £3 3s, small Hereford weaner steers 33s 6d, weaner heifers 15s. 22b to 30s, weaner steers £2 2s 6:1. There was a keen demi.nd for all classes of fat stock at tile Westfield (Auckland) sale on Wednesday. Extra choice ox 6old up to 32s per 1001 b, and increase of 2s on last week, while pricss for prime young cow and heifer beef ranged from 21s to 28s. Sheep were penned in average numbers and heavy prime wethers realised from £2 0s 6d to £2 3s 6d. Lambs sold readily at last week’s rates, heavy prime having sold from £1 15s to £l 15s. Pigs were penned in average numbers and values improved. Choppers sold up to £4 19s and heavy buconers made from £3 14s to £3 19s
