INDUSTRY LANGUISHING
LONDON, April 16. The German toy industry is in. the doldrums, apd the Berlin correspondent of the Times says there is little hope that it will ever regain its former position in the world’s markets, Leading firms are discussing plans for starting new lines of manufacture.
The main reason for the slump is that during the war some of Germany's principal customers, note 1 y the United States, created home industries, which developed remark baly, ousting German goods from the market. Britain is now her best customer.
