FILM STAR CAPTURED.
BEDOUIN’S REVENGE. FILMING QUEEN OF SHEBA. Received May 4, 11.40 a.m. LONDON, May 3. Betty Blythe, the film star, when motoring in Palestine where she was making films, was captured by Bedouins after a severe, fight in which the other occupants of the motor car were wounded. Troops have failed so far to rescue her. It is pointed out that Miss Blythe, after filming the Queen of Sheba, received threatening letters alleging that she had offended the susceptibilities of the desert tribe which defied the Queen of Sheba. The letter concluded: “Allah will be revenged.”—Sydney Sun cable.
