SOUTH CANTERBURY MEETING. Per Press Association. TIMARU, May 2. The South Canterbury Jockey Club’s autumn meeting is being continued to-day. In the early morning considerable rain fell and the outlook was not promising, but shortly |>efore the first race the weather cleared and the sun shone out. The track is much easier than yesterday. There is a good attendance. Results: Üblet-idge Hurdles, 1£ miles. —Petunia, 9.11, 1; Calibration, 9.0, 2 ; Red Kriss, 10.8, 3. Scratched: Grim Joke. Won by a length. Time, 2.51 3-5. May Stakes, five furlongs.—Voute, 8.13, 1; Waikaia, 8.13, 2; Soltce, 8.13, 3. All started. Won by a length. Time, 1.43Pareora Handicap, six furlongs.—Clontarf 7.8. 1; The Harp 7.9, 2; Los Ambus 8.9, 3. ’ Scratched Sun Up and Aurrburn. Won by three lengths. Time, 1.15 l-ssec. > RACES AT BLENHEIM. BLENHEIM, May 2. Additional results:Pioneer Handicap, six furlongs.—Benmure, 8.5, 1; Misgovern, 8.4. 2; Island, 7.6, 3. All started. Won by three-quarters of a length. Time, 1.14 4-6. ■ Flaxbourne Handicap, one mile and 80 yards.—Kalakaua, 8.10, and Lady Gay, 6.13 (dead heat) 1; Sanctuary, 7.7, 3. Scratched: Stream. Time; 1.47. Omaka Hack, 7 furlongs.—Bezau, 9.1, 1; Manchester, 7.8, 2; Bonatic, 9.6, 3. All started. Won by half a length. Time, 1.31 1-5. AUCKLAND TROTTING MEETING. AUCKLAND. May 2. Additional results: Mangere Handicap, lj miles. —Bawldy Locanda 1, Mt. Albert 2, Tannhauser 3. Won by three-quarters of a length. Time, 3.34 2-5.
