DEFICIT FORECASTED
Received May 2, 8.50 a.m. RERUN, April 30. Germany’s net budgetary surplus last year was 334,000,000 marks. The Finance Minister, von Schliebcn, in his Budget speech in the Reichstag, estimated next year’s expenditure at 4,900,000,000 marks, and the revenue at 4,652,000,000 marks. He proposed an increase in the beer and tobacco excise to meet the deficit.—Reuter.
