NEXT GATHERING IN DUNEDIN. PALMERSTON NORTH’S CLAIMS URGED. In the course of general comment at the special meeting ut the Borougn Council yesterday afternoon the Mayor, speaking of his attendance at a recent m. cling of the executive cf the Municipal Corporations’ Association, said that ho had been endeavouring to stimulate more interest oil tire part the executive. In future he was pleased to state, the executive would meet every three months i". Welbvglon. Shortly, vhen ue line arrived, he vou.d ask that the remit moved by himself/dealing with the setting aside of some city and town areas for residential and shopping quarters be presented for inclusion in the Act. The next conference of the association, said Mr Nathan, would he held in Dunedin, and he had suggested that tho following conference he held at Palmerston Noith. The suggestion had. he said, mot with a good deal of support from tho many who thought Palmerston North’s central position ideal for the purpose.
