FEILDING NEWS.
CRICKET. CFrom Our Own Correspondent). The fliiish for another round of the cricket championship took place on Saturday, and so far Public Service ure one point ahead—with another round to go. At one stage of the Feilding-Public Service game it looked as if Feilding would win, seven wickets being down for 23 runs, but the partnership between Amadio (20) and Murdoch (26) soon collared bowling and they made the necessary runs, after a very bright innings. On the previous Saturday Public Service had two wickets down for 15. McLean (15) and Drenman (31) became partnered und knocked up 46 runs between them. Lange also batted well for his 12, but the tail was at the mercy of Elliott, who got the last five wiskets for a mere song, and the innings closed for 79 or 62 behind Feilding. ’l’he collapse of a team is open inexplicable, and so Feilding’s second venture proved. The batsmen admitted the wicket was good und the bowling not difficult, yet all they could muster was 13. It was, of course, "the game for Public Service to make the runs, and in this they succeeded.
