MOTOR SPEEDING IN THE BOROUGH.
(To* the Editor.)
Sir, —Through tho columns of this paper I would like to ask how it is that this town can be entered from all sides at any speed. There are not, as in many other towns, any notices advising motorists 1o reduce their speed as they enter the borough. Is this an oversight on the part of the council or is it preferable to get the police to take action against offenders without giving them any notice that they are breaking the law. One of these notices is especially needed, say at the corner of Rangitikei street and Boundary road, as at the present time motorists come into the Square at anything from 25 to 40 miles an hour and there is nothing to say that they should not do so.— I ain, etc., FAIR PLAY.
